FLAME-PROOFED LEATHER

Specific treatments are required for conformity of leathers with increasingly strict regulations regarding flame-proofing and resistance to low density gas formation. Please note that routine retannage treatments are available which are decisive for the production of leathers that are, in themselves, endowed with high performance characteristics.
Stefani Chimis provides a complete special products line for the production of leathers suitable for the production of flame-proofed articles. Special attention is paid to the question of ensuring low concentrations of dense, toxic fumes.

fr 3000

Leathers treated with this product pass the F.M.W.S.S.302, FAR-A, FAR-B, B.S.5852/90 and EN-1041 tests. The product is used on leathers (in crust) and the percentage relates to dry weight, which can range from 40 to 70%.

fr special

Leathers treated with this product pass the F.M.W.S.S.302, FAR-A, FAR-B, B.S.5852/90, EN-1041, CALIFORNIA TECHNICAL BULLETIN 117 and UNI 9175 CLASS 1IM tests.
The product contains no antimony salts or halogenate substances.
With the right recipe, excellent results can be obtained, as well as optimal levelling, covering all the leather, and durability of results.

fr 3000/b
Compound of salts with intumescent and flame delaying effect

FR 3000/B is a special chemical for the production of fireproof leathers. Leathers correctly treated with FR 3000/B, unitedly to a suitable working recipe, get over tests like F.M.W.S.S.302, FAR-A, FAR-B, B.S.5852/90, EN-1041, CALIFORNIA TECHNICAL BULLETIN 117, CLASS 1IM.
The product is antimony and halogenated matters free.
With a correct working process is possible to obtain excellent results, a very good uniformity all over the leather and a costant result on the run time.

fr 4000/h

L’ FR 4000\H is a special product for the production of leathers suitable for flame-resistant articles, with particular attention paid to ensuring low concentrations of dense toxic fumes.
Leathers treated with this product pass the F.M.W.S.S.302, FAR-A, FAR-B, B.S.5852/90, EN-1041, CALIFORNIA TECHNICAL BULLETIN 117 and UNI 9175 CLASS 1IM tests, and, in particular the ASTM E 662-03 fume density and toxicity tests.
The product contains no antimony salts.
With the right recipe, excellent results can be obtained, as well as optimal levelling, covering all the leather, and durability of results.

fr flamberg

Given its leather-fixing capacity, FR FLAMBERG maintains its flame-resistance capacity over time, also after repeated washing.
It can be used in combination with other powder-form FR products from the Stefani range.
The recommended quantity ranges from a minimum level of 6% to a maximum level of 18% according to desired requisites.
It can also be used during the stuffing stage and for final treatment (short bath; pH values neutral, followed by a fixing stage with approx. 1% formic acid).
With the right recipe, excellent results can be obtained, as well as optimal levelling, covering all the leather, and durability of results.
Leathers treated with this product pass the F.M.W.S.S.302, FAR-A, FAR-B, B.S.5852/90, EN-1041, CALIFORNIA TECHNICAL BULLETIN 117 and UNI 9175 CLASS 1IM tests when used with the product, FR 3000.
